Second Class Cadet (Recruit)

Basic Training is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you will need before attending RAF Stations and joining in the activities of the Squadron.

On some Squadrons you may not be called 2nd Class Cadets but "Basics", referring to the fact that your undertaking Basic Training. You may even be known as "Recruit Flight". All of these are the same thing

Each of these sections has a corresponding multiple choice test paper or practical test. Each of these must be passed in order to progress on to become a First Class Cadet. Don't panic! You will be given a lot of help to do this.

Cadets who have any form of learning difficulty, especially dyslexia, should ensure that the Staff are aware. The ACO will do its best to help all Cadets succeed, regardless of ability.
